Students are required to take an exam after every course module to ensure they have successfully grasped its concepts before moving on to new material. All exams are marked at the Academy of Learning College’s Head Office. This policy ensures our College maintains national standards, quality, and impartiality. When all required exams have been successfully completed, a certificate or diploma will be issued by the Academy of Learning College Head Office.
Failing an exam is disappointing, but should it happen, you will be asked to re-write the exam after meeting with the instructor and thoroughly reviewing your course materials. Our computerized exam system will provide you with detailed feedback which will indicate which of your skills need improvement. This will help you focus on the areas you need to review.
Students are required to attend all scheduled classes and to meet their program/course’s minimum weekly attendance requirements. Should a class be missed, students are expected to contact the instructor or staff to reschedule and make up for the time missed. Due to the flexibility of class schedules, our College can accommodate student requests to reschedule a class due to medical appointments or family emergencies.
If a student is unable to attend a class due to illness or other valid reasons, they must notify the College. When the student returns to class, they will resume their training where they left off so that they never miss a lesson.
In the event of a long absence, students should seek guidance from the program director who will advise them according to the Academy's policies.
Our goal is for students to complete their training program by the scheduled end date and we work closely with students to ensure their progress is satisfactory. An extension may be possible under limited and extenuating circumstances.
If you secure employment before the program is complete, you can continue your program on a part-time basis and reschedule your classes outside of your work schedule.
If you are an Academy of Learning College graduate, you are welcome to come in, free of charge, to practice, ask questions, and refresh skills that you may not have used in a while.
